Delta Airlines offers a flexible cancellation policy that accommodates various ticket types. If you’ve purchased a refundable ticket, you can cancel your flight and receive a full refund. Non-refundable tickets allow for cancellations as well, but they often result in a credit for future travel, rather than a cash refund. In addition, Delta provides a 24-hour window where any flight can be canceled for a full refund, as long as it was booked at least seven days in advance. This gives you some leeway to make adjustments soon after booking.
